Why a blog like this?

One of the greatest things about being a literary people is that, through reading and writing, we can share our thoughts is a way that they may be reviewed, contemplated, and analyzed by others. 

This blog, my first, will serve as a place for me to share the writing into which I have poured my best efforts - that is, my writing for school.  As a Masters of Divinity student, I am asked to write on a variety of subjects that I might not otherwise research or contemplate in great detail.  The fruits of those labors - the good, the bad, and the ugly - will appear here.

I do not post them because they are noteworthy, or our of some misguided literary hubris.  Rather, I post them that others may be provoked to thought by them, that we may share in the great literary discussion that drives so much of our world, and that I may be made better by your feedback.
